Syrian's Community Network

You are not going to hesitate to join Blackstone's Syrian community once you know about it, I am proud to introduce Syrian's ommunity, it includes both Muslims and Christians people, main activities of Blackstone's Syrian Community are derived from people's basic natural needs, most of those activities had been going on for many years. Recently, members of this community decided to coordinate efforts in managing plenty of different activities to meet the growing community‘s needs. Our community needs vary depending on its member’s age and interests. Most of  the activities are designed to meet children’s needs and to provide healthy and happy life for its people at all ages. Resources of the Blackstone valley are sufficient enough to provide a high level and quality life for residents all over Blackstone’s cities; our community uses the available resources of the Blackstone valley to practice our mission successfully.


Activities and Programs


Blackstone Syrian’s community offers comprehensive training programs for adults and kids. Our activities and programs are vary and addressed to enhance mental and physical performance,  there is time for snacks and homework as well as organized fun activities.
  •  Seminars lectures on the damage of smoking and drugs 
  •  After school program 
  •  Swimming classes
  •  Seminars lectures on healthy eating habits and exercise
  •  Workshops on dealing with the pressures an depression quarterly social activity
  •  Taekwondo: classes for children  are held twice a week
  •  Dinner party dinner parties associated with social events 
  •  Arabic hour is educational activities for children who speak Arabic as second   language
  • Adult soccer
  • Children soccer
  • Tennis for youth females
  • Social events planning

Syrian Food



Syrian food is rich in  grains, fruit, nuts, beans,vegetable and aromatic spices. The most famous Syrian cuisine includes Kibbeh, Tabbouleh, Kabab, and Baklava dishes. Syrians often serve selections of appetizers.
Kibbeh : Kibbeh is special dough made of soft  burgul. It can have different shapes round, oval, or even square, it is stuffed with spiced ground  lamb's meat, it usually cooked   in the oven until brown, or by frieing it.

Tabbouleh 


 It has become one of the most popular salads in the world. Particularly Syrian region.  It is made of parsley,  soft burgul wheat, tomatoes, unions, mints, and lemon juice.




Baklava




Baklava is a delicious phyllo pastry filled with chopped nuts and soaked in sugar syrb or honey. Its supposed origins are Turkish, but it is popular in Middle Eastern countries.



Kabab :

 It had been found worldwide, it cooked on the skewer it served wrapped in bread with a salad and a dressing. Kebab includes grilled ground meat; it may be served on plates, or in sandwiches, like other ethnic foods brought by travelers; the kebab has become part of everyday cuisine in multicultural countries around the globe

Taekwondo for our children


Taekwondo continues to be one of the most recognized martial arts in the world. At our  after school program  your child will get into great shape physically and learn valuable self-defense skills. Through our character development program, students develop self confidence by encouraging to succeed and to take control of life, improved self esteem by heightening physical and mental powers, increased attention span, and a self discipline/self control mind set. Strengthen your mind and body through increased physical coordination and mental discipline.
